The Origins of Post-Cultural Studies

Dear international students, Welcome to Wrocław!

The first months of your studies are behind you and you’ve had the chance to get to know your roommates and group mates. You’ve probably already realised that in order to get along well in a new environment, you need to have knowledge and know where to look for it.

We have prepared the Study in Wroclaw Academy especially for you – it is a series of four meetings for foreign students like you, who have started their studies in Wrocław this year.

You will learn, among other things, how fantastic the city is that you have chosen for your studies, how to move around it efficiently, how to take care of your safety, how to look for a job, what is the NFZ, PESEL, how to submit documents for temporary residence… and many more important things.

The first three meetings will be held in Polish. The fourth meeting is dedicated to English-speaking students. Here are the topics and the schedule of meetings:

1. 28th November (Tuesday) 17.00 -18.30 Wrocław – a student city (in Polish)

2. 30th November (Thursday): 1st part: 17.00 -17.45 – How to take care of security, 2nd part: 17.55 -18.45-Student looking for a job

3. 4th December (Monday) 17.00 -18.30Legalization of the residence

4. 7th December (Thursday) 17.00 -18.30(in English) I part: Legalization of stay in Poland, II part: Work for a student

We hope that the knowledge we have acquired will be useful to you and the information provided will help you to adapt to your new environment more quickly and smoothly, will help you to avoid situations that may create problems and will help you to better organize your time in order to spend it usefully and pleasantly.

Register for all events, you will find important information, friendly speakers and new acquaintances waiting for you. In addition, at each meeting you will have the opportunity to take part in the drawing of fantastic Wrocław sweatshirts!

All meetings will take place at the CUKR (Ruska Street 46A/201).
