PoliTALKS 2025 conference

We invite undergraduate and doctoral students to participate in the PoliTALKS 2025 conference. The event, organized by the Institute of Political Science at the University of Wroclaw, will be a platform for mutual listening, discussion and development.

The unique format of the conference is to combine a variety of forms to present your work: 

1) Present your own scientific research and reflections in the classic conference format – we accept any social sciences topic, including political science, sociology, philosophy, international relations, European studies and security topics. Through this format, you will gain valuable dialogue, critical commentary and recommendations for the future, in discussion with our audience and moderators; 

2) Present your bachelor’s and master’s thesis on your own, in a pair or with a tutor as a training before the actual defence. This form of presentation is a great opportunity to practice before the graduation exam to deal with stress, but also to discover what else you can improve. 

3) Present your draft of a scientific article that you plan to send for review with the intention of publication. Our reviewer will try to provide valuable comments and suggestions on what to improve in the material, to increase the chances of a potential positive review and thus publication of your text; 

4) Present your draft grant proposal, which you plan to submit in order to obtain funding for your own research. In response, you will receive comments and tips from the expert on what to improve in the material so as to increase the competitiveness of the project and the chance of obtaining funding.

The conference will open with a plenary lecture, the topic of which you will learn soon. 

Participation in the conference and thematic panels is free of charge. The conference will be held on May 13, 2025 and will begin at 9:45 a.m. The duration will be dictated by the number of applicants and the level of filling the limits of available seats. Two panels are planned – Polish and English. Do you want to present and substantively evaluate your material in a friendly atmosphere?
