WNS (Pre-)Christmas and Internationally Festive!
Dear Colleagues, Students, and Staff of the Faculty of Social Sciences,
Next Tuesday, December 17th, we’re organizing a pre-Christmas gathering for all of us and with all of us! We warmly invite you to join this festive event!
Here’s what we have planned:
A brief journey around the world exploring Christmas traditions in Georgia, Ukraine, Peru, Latvia, and Poland,
A Christmas knowledge quiz (no political theory, social work, or history of international relations involved—promise!),
A Christmas flea market, where you can swap holiday decorations or simply snag something someone else brought (remember: don’t like your current Christmas mug? Be ECO—don’t toss it, pass it on!),
Christmas card painting—because art, like music, soothes the soul,
A holiday lottery (unfortunately, no parking passes for the WNS campus will be up for grabs, but we have other surprises in store),
A presentation titled “Can Socialists Celebrate Christmas?”, which already sounds intriguing, doesn’t it?
And three more important details:
Reliable sources suggest Santa Claus will make an appearance (if he can find parking) with his Snowflakes in tow.
We’ll have a chance to sing carols together.
Festive outfits are encouraged!
When and where?
We’ll start at 1:00 PM in Auditorium C, Institute of Political Science and wrap up at 3:00 PM.
We’re counting on unforgettable moments together. See you there!
P.S.
If you’d like to contribute something to the flea market (serious offers only) or join the event organization team, please contact Welcome Center at Katarzyna.kvapilikova@uwr.edu.pl
