Political Parties in the 21st Century: Obsolete or Transformed?

We kindly invite you to the lecture entitled “Political Parties in the 21st Century: Obsolete or Transformed?”, by professor Susan Scarrow (University of Houston, Texas).

This talk considers party politics in today’s European democracies by revisiting debates from the 1970s which predicted “party decline” and “party failure”. Understanding what has changed over the past half century gives clues about the possibilities and limits of parties’ future adaptations.
