Welcome Centre
The Welcome Centre is an information and advisory hub dedicated to international students and academic staff at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Wrocław.
We provide you with comprehensive support, including university-related formalities, legalising your stay, and practical arrangements such as accommodation or healthcare in Wrocław. We are also here to assist you in your adaptation process and to ensure your overall well-being.
Whether you are new to the Faculty of Social Sciences or already settled in, an exchange or regular student, a PhD candidate, or an academic staff member – you are welcome!
How can we help you?
- Social Counselling
We offer guidance and support with any questions regarding your studies and everyday life in Wrocław. Living and studying abroad is an exciting adventure, but it can also be challenging. Whether you are struggling with paperwork and need a practical tip or feeling overwhelmed in a new environment and need someone to listen – we are here to support you! If we cannot help you directly, we will signpost you to the right service or institution. Our services are strictly confidential. - Appointments: You don’t need an appointment. Simply visit us during our office hours. If you wish to make an appointment outside these hours, please email us with your preferred time and date.
- Activities and Events
We organize integration activities, workshops, talks, and sightseeing trips. We also co-coordinate the Buddy Space programme, which is based at the Institute of Sociology and connects international students with local buddies. - Information for Prospective Students
We serve as the primary contact point for anyone interested in studying English-taught programmes at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
